All our gabions are constructed from high-quality, heavily galvanised, double-twisted steel wire mesh. The mesh is polymer-coated for performance and longevity.
Rocks are hand-stacked to reduce voids in the structure, and gabions are secured together using lacing wire and clips, in strict accordance with Maccaferri design specification.
Generally, we work with Maccaferri gabion baskets which have a dimension of 2 metre x 1 metre x 1 metre and are approximately four tonne when filled with rock. These can be arranged to suit the clients requirements.
