Rock Cage NZ Ltd began in 1999 when founder Jonathan Buck had a crack at engineering a gabion entranceway for a relocated airplane hangar on Te Mata Estate vineyard.
No stranger to hauling and stacking rocks - a common punishment for misdemeanours during his educational years at Rathkeale College - Jonathan had also been inspired by the many stone structures he saw on his OE in Europe in his early twenties.
That groundwork later paid off, as clients impressed Jonathan's handiwork with the hangar entranceway commissioned Rock Cage to provide gabion structures for their own projects.
Today Jonathan and his son - Rock Cage director Henry Buck - bring that same can-do attitude and high-quality workmanship to your residential, civil and commercial projects.
